This Pearson Teacher Training Academy webinar, led by Camille, focused on the “Read and Write” task for the Pearson English International Certificate (PEIC). Students read a 45-75 word passage for 30 seconds, then rewrite it in their own words in 120 seconds. Assessment covers content, word count (20-85 words), grammar, and vocabulary. The session addressed student challenges like vocabulary and text length. Strategies included micron note-taking, chunking, time-pressured reading, and crucial paraphrasing. Classroom activities like skimming, sentence sequencing, synonym games, and keyword story recreation were shared to build students’ reading and writing confidence.
